Trying to Be a Better Cook

I’ve never been a good cook. My husband knew this when we got married. I’ve burned and overcooked my food more than I can count. This led me to purchase bistroMD based on some reviews I read online. It’s not that I don’t try to cook well. I read cookbooks and try some favorite recipes. I watch cooking shows and subscribe to a few magazines but nothing does the trick. My food just comes out bland. I have a few hit wonders, but that’s about it.

I’m hoping that trying Bistro MD for a few months will give me some time to recollect my thoughts. Maybe I just need some time off from the kitchen. I never did love the whole planning and shopping for groceries. It always seems like such a huge chore. The Bistro meals are healthy and I don’t have to think about what to make for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The reason I have to get a differen daily uniform is because my old one does not fit that well, and it tore in the back where my skirt meets my leggings. I started to add raw foods to my diet. No, not raw meat. Rather, it is foods in their natural state such as vegetables and fruit. You avoid any processing and get the full benefits of the food in its natural raw state. We are the only species on the planet to cook our foods. For things such as meats, it is necessary because of the risks. However, we are fully capable of eating things such as carrots and a whole lot of other foods without having to cook them. I was just used to eating canned carrots or frozen carrots that were already cooked. Now there are plenty more foods than carrots, I’m just using them as an example. I used to eat cooked spinach in vinegar. Now I eat it as a salad. In fact, I grow spinach on my front porch. It doesn’t get any fresher than that. The raw food diet has improved my overall health and energy.
